12 weeks on thursday
I must say, being pregnant is not what I expected it to be. As Billy likes to say, in my "Ideal world" I always imagined pregnancy as AWESOME! I thought your hair would be great, your skin beautiful, you would always eat the healthiest food. But I have had quite a reality check; everyone is different (or else they were lying!!)
I have had the worst nausea in the world, yet with no relief, because I CANT PUKE! Typically I love to eat lots of fruits and veggies, but these days just the sight of a green pepper makes my stomach turn. Billy claims its because his child is inside of me and it is nutritionally supported by high fructose corn syrup! This is a battle I will fight very hard to win: ) NO HFCS for us...
My skin is so broken out all over my body that I'm embarrassed to go in public. I'm wearing high neck sweaters and shirts because of the red rash and breakout on my chest. Thank goodness its cool weather.
My emotions are something I was totally unprepared to handle. I have always been sensitive and cried a lot. But I cry over cell phone commercials these days! Its really starting to stress me out :)
My only hope is that as I am now finishing out my first trimester things will start to get better. And as I am dealing with all of these changes, I am still so amazed that God is allowing a little life to grow inside of me! That thought alone changes my whole perspective and gives me the encouragement to deal with whatever comes my way!!
